I publish

Do you manage a publications team and need some one-to-one coaching or mentoring help?

Do you work in the publishing industry and feel in desperate need of some career advice?

Or maybe you dream of turning freelance and putting an end to the commute and the office politics?

Perhaps you already know where you want to get to within the publishing industry but need some career coaching to kick start your ascent and help you achieve your dreams.

I publish is a bespoke, tailored service to help you turn those dreams into reality. I’ve been at the publishing coalface for twenty-five years and I know what it takes. I’ve worked successfully as a freelance editor and a project manager. I’ve managed publishing teams within start-ups and in larger organisations resistant to change. I’ve created publishing strategy and edited e-learning modules. Whether it’s working within the pressured, deadline-driven publishing house environment or within the publishing arm of a larger organisation, help is at hand.

I bring all my years of editorial experience, my PRINCE2 project management training and my coaching skills to help you move forward.

The I publish programme can be tailored to your specific needs. Most clients require a mix of mentoring and coaching help but sessions can be tailored to your unique requirements.

Or you may need specific help on an editorial or content pain point within your organisation. I would be delighted to provide editorial consulting help to address those challenges. You can find out more about my editorial consulting services here.

“Working with Gaynor was both a delight and immensely productive. Over a series of sessions, she helped me identify key personal and professional goals and create a practical roadmap for how to achieve them in the short, medium and long term. Gaynor’s approach is ideally suited to this kind of work: she is friendly, empathetic and supportive, yet unafraid to ask pertinent and probing questions and come back to issues that required more attention, or which became clear were ‘block’ points in my own thinking process. “
